Guy Next Door

Dawson is the chosen voice actor for many brands, most notably the voice of Little Caesar’s. Yep, “PIZZA! PIZZA!”

He’s also done some jobs he’d rather not discuss, but he was young and needed the money.

Drop a line to say hi, request a quote, or just ask if he lived in an igloo while growing up in Alaska.

He loves that.

BILLBOARDS

Did you know at age five what you wanted to be when you grew up? Well, neither did Dawson, but it turns out he was practicing for a career in voice-over at that early age. Still learning to read, he was riding through town with his mother when they passed a 7-Up billboard. "Seven Yoop!" he pointed proudly at the sign as he read aloud. She eventually stopped making fun of him for that and he continued reading signs and billboards in the voices of the announcers on tv.

MAGIC, MAKEUP, AND MUPPETS

Growing up, Dawson fell in love with the most colorful of entertainers: The Muppets, David Copperfield, and KISS all created worlds of illusion to which we could escape, and he studied them. He read and re-read the Chronicles of Narnia. These brands of storytelling shaped the artist he would become.

SOMEDAY WE’LL FIND IT

Over the years, he searched for his ideal creative outlet, working professionally in magic, puppetry, radio, cartooning, sound design, video production, and acting. He finally found his home in voice-over, which allows an actor to play everything from rock star to puppet to guy-next-door. Performing in front of a live audience is always a rush, but he does love when the curtain goes up and the lights go on in his studio and it's time to bring to life ... your story.

And, yes, he still practices by reading signs and billboards aloud.

Dawson lives in Anchorage with his mastiff/lab (mastador) mix, Tigger. In his free time he helps run the family’s escape room business.
